School

School was really relaxing yesterday because there were alot of people that were absent due to having to go get their hair and nails and all that stuff done for prom. So most of the teachers really didn't have much planned (except for Mr. Fletcher in Trig who is giving us a test on Monday! ::rolls eyes:: )

Speaking of Trig, Gray and I had an interesting "conversation" the other day in Trig class. He was saying that Joe (this guy that has started to hang around us) would feel really good if I would "give him a little feminine attention". Of course my response was "yeah, and Meg Jordan would probably feel realy good if you gave her a little masculine attention!"

A little feminine attention?! What the heck? Most of the guys I know I give more attention than is even healthy for them and here he is asking that?

::rolls eyes:: Crazy things, man...

In Mr. Golden's class we had to register for next year, but I had already registered so it was basically just a social hour for me. During that time I got to talk to Mr. Golden for quite awhile and it was really alot of fun. He can be the most awesome guy you have ever met when it's just sorta a one-on-one kinda thing, but get him in the classroom and he can come off as just plain mean! You just have to be willing to see beyond that...

Oh, it was so nice! I was sitting in there (the lecture hall) and just kinda looking off into the distance because I was bored outta my mind and I must have looked sad or something because he came up and squeezed my shoulder as he passed by in a "it's alright" sorta way. It was just a really nice gesture and one I really needed...

Well, anyways, after school was over I went home and prepared to head out to the...

Theater

After I had picked Nick up from his house we went to the Playhouse to meet Allison. We were some of the only ones there so we stood out in the lobby for a bit just talking. Hah, Ben Bates ran through one time and he just had one of those goofy runs like Blake Curtis and it was just too funny!

And of course Danny was forever lurking in his little control box and even when I smiled at him he just regarded me with those icey eyes and then looked away... ::shrugs:: Go figure.

Finally we decided to go on and sit down so we could get some good seats. Oh, man, it was so nice to be back there! My first thought was Wow, it's so good to be home... I just love the way the theater makes me feel. And I mean, every theater, not just the ones I have performed in. I think it's just a kind of connection that every actor/actress has to their sanctuary.

So anyways, we sat there and waited for the play to start, and discussed the people that would be acting tonight and comparing who we knew and who we didn't know and such. Then I looked up as a few people started to file in and saw John (not Spivey and not 'other John'...lol, this is another John!) come in. (He is a really awesome guy that I know from school.) Well, he came and sat down right in front of us with his parents and grandparents and then turned around and asked me who I was there to see. When I said I was there to see quite a few people he said that he was there to see Adam...that he was his cousin.

That's so cool! Adam would make an awesome cousin! ::grins::

Well the play finally started after a bit... And I suppose this is where I should comment on who played what and such really quick.

Jeff - Mark Twain (Not only is Jeff hot, but he can act! He is one really awesome guy and he portrayed our beloved author quite well. Myra is really a lucky girl!)
Adam - Muff Potter (Incredible, as always...but I think he was much more fitted for the part of Christmas Present. Hah, humorous how he always get the drunk roles, isn't it?)
Cookie - Injun Joe ( ::shivers:: Goodness, but he makes a good bad guy!)
Joseph - Doc Robinson ( I think he was a bit upset that his part wasn't bigger, but he actually had the best part! lol, he got to knock out Adam and get stabbed by Cookie...how much better can you get?)
Will - Preacher/Teacher ( ::laughs:: His characters were so melodramatic...he kept the whole audience laughing. ::grins wickedly:: Especially when he 'stole the scene' from Cookie)
Walter - Tom Sawyer (For awhile I wasn't too sure how well he would do, but I was pleasantly surprised! He did a very good job and actually looked the part as well.)
Tommy Huckleberry Finn (Tommy was awesome like he always is. That guy has talent! For awhile I thought the role of Huck was too young for him but he pulled it off just fine and actually fit the part quite well.)
Harrah - Becky Thatcher (Okay, so she's not Kaleigh but we love her anyways. ;-) Harrah is a really sweet girl and I was thrilled to see her as Becky. She definitely got two thumbs up on her performance.)

Okay, then, now that I'm done with that, back to the 'story'...

Oh man, it was so funny! Every time Will raised his switch to whip Tom there would be a loud thunder crack and the scene would freeze. Well the first time that happened, Nick leaned over and whispered "And all of a sudden, Will becomes Zeus!" I just about died laughing!

After awhile, intermission came about and I decided to stay in the auditorium since I don't handle big crowds really well (especially in that small lobby when they're all packed in). So Nick and I were sitting there talking about one thing or another when Sylvia came up and started talking to us. She was telling me about trying out for 'Oklahoma!' and all that kinda good stuff and all in all it was just good to see her again.

So anyways, we talked for a few minutes and then suddenly I hear someone calling me and I looked up to see Allison standing in the doorway with Oliver. Oh man, it was so good to see him again! He is such an awesome guy! So I ran over to him and gave him a big hug and we talked for awhile and he told me that Joseph had wanted to come out and see me as well but that he was still in costume so he couldn't. ::laughs:: It's just great to know that you're thought about!

Well, we couldn't talk long because the play was starting up again, so I had to tell him good-bye and go and sit back down...

The play was wonderful, as you can probably already tell from all my comments and Nick and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves making fun of certain parts and people. ::grins wickedly::

After the Play

Once the play was over, Nick and I decided to wait around for a bit and let the crowd kinda clear out some. Then we went outside and were greeted by Oliver and Allison first, then Will came around. He told me that he had a surprise for me backstage so I was forced to go back there.

( ::sighs:: I miss the theater so much... How come they gotta be doin' 'Pippy Longstockings' next?! Grr...I hate that play.)

So I went backstage and Will presented me with this beautiful hardcover copy of "The Phantom of the Opera" (which is nearly impossible to find!). He had even gone so far as to highlight all the quotes and write all the notes that I had had in my original copy in there! Needless to say, I was somewhat speechless.

Well, then there were some people that wanted to get some pictures with Will so I went on back out into the lobby where I found Nick and told him what Will had given me. (Thank God Nick was there tonight or I'm not exactly sure what would have happened... His presence was definitely a really big comfort in what might have been an otherwise very tense situation.)

After awhile Adam came out into the lobby and I got to talk to him for a few minutes before I spotted Joseph and went over to see him. ( ::laughs:: It was so wonderful to see everyone again! I was just on cloud nine.)

Well, I was hungry so after a small soap opera took place we (Joseph, Oliver, Nick, Will, Allison, and myself) all decided to go out and eat.

Hey, can you go to the Playhouse without a soap opera taking place? Nope, I just don't see that happening!

Before we left I saw Myra and got a chance to talk to her for awhile. She was about to head out to prom and she looked beautiful! Her dress was so gorgeous - all medeival and everything... Kudos to the dress! (And the girl wearing it, of course ::smiles:: )

Ruby Tuesday's

Once we got to Ruby Tuesday's we were seated near the back and I was only slightly shocked to see they were playing the news coverage of the war on the TV I was facing. It's crazy! It's like, no matter where we turn, we just can't get away from it!

Dinner was so much fun. We all just got a chance to catch up on some things and be together. There was minimal talk of Chris, which I was really grateful for. I'm just so glad that whole thing didn't blow up and start rumors flying like some other relationships I know about.

::laughs:: Oh, it was so funny! Will asked me to get him some croutons while I was at the salad bar and when I came back I said they didn't have any...then Joseph sat down and had a big pile of black croutons on his salad. So of course Will was like, "They have croutons!" and before I even thought about it, I blurted out "Yeah, but they're black!" and Nick laughed and said "Wow, that is the most racist remark I have heard all day!" (or something to that effect).

Hah, so now I'm racist towards black croutons! ::smiles, rolls eyes::

Oliver really surprised me. He is a Catholic and realized after he had ordered a plate of chicken that he wasn't supposed to eat meat on Friday. So instead of going on and eating his meal and just blowing it off like most people would, he just ate the rest of his food and decided to save the chicken for today. I just thought that was so cool because most people wouldn't care...but he had beliefs and actually stuck with them! That's just so hard to come by these days...

Random Thought: Ya'll know what? I got ripped off for my meal... Including tip, a small plate of salad and a glass of water was ten dollars! Geeze!

Well, anyways, we all had a great time just socializing and I managed to get Joseph and Oliver's screenname so now I can keep in touch with them! ::happiness!::

So after all this you can imagine I was quite tired so after Will's parents came for him, Nick and I loaded into the car and headed out...

Going Home

On the way home Nick and I joked about what it would have been like if Will and Joseph had gotten into a fight...and that was funny! I think Nick and I both really needed this night out. Weekends tend to be times that we both sit around and just feel sorry for ourselves kinda thing...it was good for both of us to get out of the house and do something with friends.

So after I dropped Nick off, I drove home with "Phantom Of The Opera" playing as loud as it could go. ::laughs:: How many people do you know that crank up the showtunes?

And I am proud to say I actually got home by my curfew (twelve) before I turned back into a simple peasant and the glamor and beauty of the night was gone...

And that was a really long entry...so I'm gonna go clean my room now!

::sighs:: Well, ya'll, I have some news for you... In a few days (hopefully over the weekend) I will be moving.

No, not moving to another city (I'm not that lucky) or even into a new house... I'll be moving my journal to a new server (diary-x.com)

I know, I know, I feel like such a hypocrite doing this because I've gotten so many of you to sign up for it but lately livejournal has just been giving me so many problems. For one thing, I want my own awesome layout and livejournal is just so restricting to the free accounts.

But anyways... I'll be sure and leave a final post here before I take my leave and link you to my new journal. Hopefully it will be really awesome because I have some big plans for it.

I am so tired right now! Every part of my body is aching with fatigue... But it's a good kind of ache. It's the kind of ache that reminds you that you've just done something with your life other than just lay around the house. It's actually quite an invigorating feeling all in all...

Okay then, let's play a bit of catch up on the current affairs (events?) of my life...

Going To See 'Tom Sawyer'
I got a call the other day from my boss saying he wouldn't need me to teach archery so that I had this Friday off. Hah, yeah, great timin' since I've already turned down three dates to prom..

So, in order to keep myself busy, I decided to join Allison and take Nick as my 'date' to see the play "Tom Sawyer" since none of us are going to prom. Plus, Will has been begging me to come so maybe if I go he'll shut up. ::smirks::

Afterwards we're gonna go out and eat with the cast. I'm so excited because I get to see Joseph (my husband in the last play) and Adam (Ghost of Christmas Present)! I haven't seen either of them since "Scrooge" so I'm really excited about that.

::whimpers:: Gosh, I miss the theatre. Sometimes I miss it so much that it literally just hurts!

But anyways, more on Friday night tomorrow...

Dance for Church's Passion Play

My church is putting on their annual Easter Passion Play and I have been asked to be in one of the crowd scenes and an angel in the heaven scene (which is when I dance). Ever since I was at my old church I have wanted to be a part of the crowd scene so I could go about with a basket of scarves, calling out my wares and such as Jesus comes in and all... Hah, it just looks like such a fun role that you can do so much with!

The dance has been really hard and lately my knee that I injured in cheerleading has begun to give me problems. It's so gross because I can sit there in class and bend my knee a bit and just feel the bones grinding into each other because there's no cartlidge there to seperate them. And it hurts!

But to be honest, I wouldn't trade this dance for a lifetime of good knees... I just feel so at peace when I'm dancing. It just totally takes your mind off everything going on in the outside world and makes you just kinda..distant (for lack of a better word).

Plus the other girl that is dancing with me, Brittany, and I are finally starting to come to terms. I mean, we're both very big "queens" and when it comes to dancing and theater and such we don't want anyone else on our territory challenging it.. But we're finally starting to see eye - to - eye and tonight we actually had a decent conversation.

I guess we both decided to rather join up as allys then fight against one another constantly.
